Where is your office located?
I work with clients across California by telehealth only.
What are your hours?
I see clients Monday – Friday, usually between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm.
How long are your sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes.
How much do you charge and how do I pay?
My rate is $200 per 50-minute session. Payment is due at the time of our session.
Most of my clients provide a credit card through the client portal we set up before our first meeting, which I then charge after each session. I also accept cash or check if you prefer to pay that way.
Do you take insurance?
No, I’m not in-network with insurance companies because I find them quite limiting.
But I’m happy to provide you with a “superbill” at the end of the month in case your insurance company offers reimbursements for out-of-network providers. If this is the route you’re looking to take, I recommend you check in with your insurance company to determine your benefits. Just let me know if you need one.
How do I set up an initial appointment?
Give me a call or send me an email. I will get back to you within 24 hours to either have or arrange a free 15-minute phone consultation.
During the call, I’ll get to know a little about what’s going on in your life, and we can set up an appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask that you please give me 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel an appointment. I charge full fee for late cancellations.
What age ranges do you work with?
I work with ages 13 and up.
Do you work with all genders? Couples?
Yes and yes!
Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?
Yes, I welcome you in all of your authenticity!
Do your clients receive assignments between sessions?
Sometimes, but I don’t like the term “assignments” very much. For one, I make this determination based on the client(s). For another, it is important to me that we work as a team.
It’s not my intention to add a source of stress. I sometimes give clients invitations for things to do/think about/create, but an invitation is never a mandate.
Do you work within a particular religion?
I welcome them all or none. My interest in spirituality spans across and beyond religions. I’m interested in your relationship to your spirituality, whatever that means to you.
Are you going to make me act?
Nope. But if you’re interested…
In all seriousness, drama therapy is not just acting stuff out. Sometimes it’s a very intentional use of metaphor. Other times, it’s exploring the various roles you play in your life, or recognizing yourself as the heroine or hero of your own story.
And it’s not the only approach I use… lots of times we just talk.
