FAQ

Where is your office located?

I work with clients across California, Illinois, and Arizona by telehealth only. My business address is in San Carlos, CA.

What are your hours?

I see clients Monday – Friday, usually between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

How long are your sessions?

Sessions are 50 minutes.

How much do you charge and how do I pay?

My rate is $210 per 50-minute session. Payment is due at the time of our session.

Most of my clients provide a credit card through the client portal we set up before our first meeting, which I then charge after each session. I also accept cash or check if you prefer to pay that way.

Do you take insurance?

I accept NorCal Kaiser through my affiliation with One Life Counseling Center. If you have NorCal Kaiser, reach out and I can walk you through how to set it up.

For other insurance, I am happy to provide a superbill at the end of the month in case your insurance offers reimbursements for out-of-network providers.

How do I set up an initial appointment?

Give me a call or send me an email. I will get back to you within 24 hours to either have or arrange a free 15-minute phone consultation.

During the call, I’ll get to know a little about what’s going on in your life, and we can set up an appointment.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask that you please give me 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel an appointment. I charge full fee for late cancellations.

What age ranges do you work with?

I work with adults 18 and up.

Do you work with all genders? Couples?

Yes and yes!

Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

Yes, I welcome you in all of your authenticity!

Do your clients receive assignments between sessions?

Sometimes, but I don’t like the term “assignments” very much. For one, I make this determination based on the client(s). For another, it is important to me that we work as a team.

It’s not my intention to add a source of stress. I sometimes give clients invitations for things to do/think about/create, but an invitation is never a mandate.

Do you work within a particular religion?

I welcome them all or none. My interest in spirituality spans across and beyond religions. I’m interested in your relationship to your spirituality, whatever that means to you.
